# Papermark Virtual Data Room

A virtual data room (VDR) is a secure, permissioned space for sharing
confidential documents during M&A, fundraising, due diligence, and other
high-stakes deals. Papermark is a secure, certified virtual data room with advanced workflows and
analytics. Because its core is open source and self-hostable, it is more secure
than legacy providers, and its transparent, flat pricing replaces the
