Link presets let you define a reusable set of permissions (downloads, notifications, watermarks, expirations, and more) and apply them to new links with a single click. They’re especially handy for larger teams that need consistent security rules.
Link presets are available on the Business and Data Rooms Plus plans.
Step 1: Log into Papermark
Go to your Papermark account – Papermark .
Enter your credentials to access your dashboard.
Step 2: Open link presets in settings
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Choose Link presets from the tabs across the top.
Step 3: Create a new preset
Click New preset .
Give the preset a name, for example "Investor link" or "Internal only".
Step 4: Configure preset options
Link presets now support every link setting, so you can save your full configuration in one place. Configure any combination of:
Download toggle and disable printing
Password protection
Watermark settings (see dynamic watermarks )
Email notification preferences (instant, daily digest, or weekly summary)
Expiration date , including dynamic options (7 days, 30 days, 90 days from creation)
Custom domain selection (auto-generated slug or your own)
Allow list and block list rules
Email verification requirements
NDA or agreement requirements
Custom fields
Hide branding banner for white-label links
Pick the combination you need, then click Create preset to save it.
Step 5: Apply a preset to a new link
Open a document or data room.
Click Create link .
In the link drawer, open the Preset dropdown and select your saved preset. All settings populate instantly.
Adjust anything else if needed and click Save .
Step 6: Edit or delete presets
Go to Settings → Presets .
To edit: Click on your preset to modify its settings directly.
To delete: Click the Delete button on the right of the preset.
Changes will affect links you create going forward; existing links keep their original settings.
Advanced tips
Default preset: Mark one preset as Default so every new link starts with those settings automatically.
Team consistency: Share the same preset across your team to enforce standardized security.
Versioning: If your policy changes, create a new preset rather than editing the old one so you have a clear history.
