PII detection is the default. On top of it you add the terms that only matter on your transaction, such as a counterparty, a codename, or a customer you are contractually barred from naming, and you pick the reason for the pass so the detection knows what it is looking for.

Nothing is redacted until a human says so
Every detection lands in a review queue with its category and confidence, next to the page it came from. Accept it, decline it, or delete it, one at a time with the keyboard or a whole page at once. The count of pending, accepted, and declined items stays visible while you work.

Burned into a new version, not painted over
A black rectangle drawn on a PDF changes only what you see: the text underneath is still in the file and copies straight out. Applying redactions in Papermark removes the text runs, vector graphics, and image pixels inside each box, then saves a new document version that becomes the one your links serve.
