Tags help you organize and filter your document and data room links. You can create global tags in settings and apply them to any link, making it easier to group and find links based on categories like "Investors", "Customers", or "Internal".
Tags are available on all plans, including Free .
Step 1: Log into Papermark
Go to your Papermark account – Papermark .
Enter your credentials to access your dashboard.
Step 2: Create global tags
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Choose Tags from the tabs across the top.
Click New tag .
Enter a name for your tag.
Choose a color (optional).
Click Create tag .
Step 3: Apply tags to a link
Open a document or data room.
Find the link you want to tag in the links table.
Click the tag icon or the existing tags.
Select one or more tags from the dropdown.
Click outside to save.
Step 4: Filter links by tag
In your document or data room’s Links table, locate any tag pill (e.g., “Investors”).
Click the tag pill to filter the table by that tag—the URL updates with ?tags=... and only matching links remain visible.
Click additional tags to add them to the filter, or click a selected tag again to remove it.
Clear all selected tags (or remove the tags parameter from your URL) to show the full list again.
Advanced tips
Multiple tags: Apply several tags to a single link for more detailed organization.
Quick filter: Tag pills double as quick filters—click any tag to instantly filter the Links table.
Shareable view: Because the filter lives in the URL, you can copy the address bar to share a pre-filtered view with teammates.
Limits on Free plan: Free workspaces can create up to five tags. Upgrade to Pro or higher for unlimited tags.
Team coordination: Create a consistent tagging system with your team for better link management.
Analytics: Filter analytics by tag to understand how different groups interact with your documents.

Q: How many tags can I create?
There's no limit to the number of tags you can create or apply to links.
Q: Can I edit or delete tags?
Yes. Go to Settings → Tags to edit tag names and colors or delete unused tags.
Q: Do tags affect link permissions?
No. Tags are for organization only and don't change any security settings or access permissions.
